A UX Designer and Web Accessibility Consultant, Gabriela Nino de Rivera has spent over fifteen years working at the intersection of analysis, design, and technology. Her career began in computer engineering and data architecture before shifting toward human-centered digital experience design within complex and highly constrained environments.
Throughout her career, she has developed deep expertise in interaction design, design systems, and digital accessibility, all while maintaining the rigorous analytical approach honed during her years in functional analysis.
More recently, she has been exploring the integration of generative AI into UX practices. She applies a critical and pragmatic lens, aiming to augment the work of designers rather than replace it.
Her work is rooted in a vision where clarity, inclusion, and technological responsibility are the essential foundations of any digital experience.

Thank you for your interest, and I invite you to delve deeper into my journey by reviewing my resume.
Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that facilitate task completion by prototyping and designing the interaction between the user and the product.
Evaluate the effectiveness of my designs through usability testing and make improvements based on feedback.
Effectively communicate my designs to stakeholders and collaborate with developers, PO, Visual Designers, UX writers, UX Researchers and A11Y specialists.
Analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information to make informed design decisions.
Design accessible web interfaces that comply with WCAG guidelines and enable users of all abilities to access and navigate digital content effectively.
Proficient in applying functional analysis to identify user needs and translate them into actionable design solutions.

My design process is flexible, adapting to the project phase, budget, and business needs to ensure the best possible outcome.
However, it is built on three key components: interaction design, testing, and visual design. By personalizing my approach for each project, I can deliver a design that meets the user's needs and business objectives efficiently and effectively.
The process begins with research to gain a deep understanding of the user's needs, the industry, and the business.
From there, I define a list of functionalities that are then translated into wireframes and interactive prototypes with accessibility in mind.
Evaluative research is incorporated into the process to gather feedback and insights from users, which is used to refine and iterate the design concepts to ensure they align with the user's needs.
Lastly, visual design (components and design system) is used to bring the interaction design concepts to life, creating a functional, engaging, and user-friendly interface.
My work style centers around collaboration, iteration, and documentation to ensure that the final product is user-centric and functional. To achieve this, I involve a cross-functional team from the start, gathering input from members with diverse expertise, such as technical or programming, visual design, functional, or accessibility issues and ideas.
Using this information and the project requirements, I create an interactive prototype that allows the team or the stakeholders to experience the proposed solution's functionality, interaction, and user interface. I use the feedback received to refine and iterate the design until it meets the user's needs and achieves the desired outcomes.
Finally, I provide clear and detailed documentation outlining the design's requirements and functional specifications to the UI designer and the development team. This ensures that they understand the design's nuances and can implement it effectively, minimizing confusion and delays.

My interests include a wide range of activities: photography, drawing, reading, mangas, anime, games, travelling and taking a ride in my Vespa.
I enjoy helping people when travelling in my city or other cities, so I contribute frequently to the Google local guide program. I am constantly seeking opportunities to learn and challenge myself, both personally and professionally. I do this by engaging in a variety of activities, such as taking online courses, attending virtual conferences, and listening to a wide range of UX podcasts. Through these avenues, I can stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, while also expanding my knowledge and skills.
I believe that learning is a lifelong process, and I am always looking for new ways to improve and grow.
